Dr. Bryan Ladd

PT, DPT, MS, OCS
Owner / Physical Therapist

I grew up in small town Nebraska (Aurora) and attended Hastings College in Hastings, NE where I majored in Exercise Science with a minor in personal training. From there I attended Des Moines University for my Doctor of Physical Therapy. After graduating I received a commission in the United States Navy where I worked as a physical therapist, spending two years as the Assistant Department Head at Naval Hospital Bremerton in Bremerton, WA and three years as Department Head at US Naval Hospital Okinawa in Okinawa, Japan. After five years I then started Kaizen Health and Wellness and moved with my family back to Iowa.

Prior to starting Kaizen I worked for the Navy for five years spending two years at Naval Hospital Bremerton in Bremerton, Washington, and then three years at US Naval Hospital Okinawa in Okinawa, Japan. In the Navy, I completed the Military Musculoskeletal Residency, and then obtained my board certification to become a orthopedic clinical specialist in addition, I am also certified and dry, needling and body tempering

Core Values:

The biggest things that drive me in life are just being a good person in doing what’s right

I am the owner of the company, but also one of the physical therapists. In addition, I am board-certified in orthopedics.

The biggest thing that patients have to deal with that I want to fix is the broken healthcare system. The physical therapy experience is traditionally not very good and I wanna be able to provide an excellent physical therapy process for my patients. One that they will rave about and tell their friends and want to come back every time they need our help.

My favorite body part to treat are shoulders. But I also like complex issues that require some higher level thought to solve.

I love this place! I am biased but I believe we have one of (if not the) best team of physical therapists, not just in Des Moines, but in the state of Iowa. They make it fun and exciting to come to work every day!
