I grew up in North Platte, NE, but I got my undergrad BS in Exercise Science from the University of Nebraska-Kearney in 2016. I went to graduate school to get my Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Des Moines University in 2021. I have been married to my wife Mackenzie, since July 2017 and we have a son, Tyler, who was born in May 2022.

Prior experience as a small business owner, I was an Atlas Rehab and Performance Competitive powerlifter in multiple federations – USAPL, USPA, WRPF – WRPF I have State Records for Bench Press (369lbs) and Total (1455lbs) in the 198lb weight class. This has given me a deep understanding and appreciation for barbell movements and the implementation of strength & conditioning principles into a Physical Therapy plan of care.

I’m a staff Physical Therapist for Kaizen. My area of specialization is with any and all types of strength athletes. My background as a powerlifter, coach, and Physical Therapist gives me unique insight into all aspects of training and allows me to create a plan of care based on all variables. My rehab plans are heavily influenced by strength and conditioning principles so rest assured you will be lifting heavy weights before you’re discharged from working with me!

The various aches and pains associated with daily life and training. Most people don’t realize that they don’t need to be injured to see a Physical Therapist. I want to be a frontline provider for any musculoskeletal issues they may have and play a role in preventing those issues from turning into something worse. The conditions I love treating are lower back pain and shoulder pain

The supportive environment of Kaizen is the best part of working here. Everyone wants everyone to succeed and we all go above and beyond to help each other. I also feel valued for my input and insight into various topics regarding both the clinic and patient care. Lastly, I have the autonomy to treat how I see fit, but also have the luxury of having two great Physical Therapists that I work with to bounce ideas off of.

When I’m not at work, I enjoy spending time with my wife and son, powerlifting, video games, trying new restaurants, and going to concerts!

Patient Testimonials

“Kaizen Health and Wellness is not a traditional Physical Therapy practice, they are exceptional at what they do. They helped me meet my goals of reducing knee pain and improving balance. But even more important they improved my strength and daily functioning. I no longer struggle to lift large bags of dog food, and shovelling out from yesterdays 11 inches of snow was easier than I could have imagined. Care was personalized to my life and issues. Dr. Logan Yager was a joy to work with, the whole team was supportive and friendly and cheered on my progress. When I finished my physical therapy Logan encouraged me to join a gym and get a trainer to continue gaining strength. They also connected me with community resources to continue what they started. I am so grateful for Kaizen for teaching me it is never too late to get strong. I worked hard and loved working with them. I wish I could give them 10 or more stars. I hope I don’t need them again but would never go anywhere else. My life is so much better, I am stronger than ever before.”

“I’ve been working with Logan after tweaking my shoulder pretty good during a bench press. I’m astounded at the difference in pain after a few sessions. Everyone here was incredibly friendly and I can’t recommend them enough!”

“In just 1 visit, Dr. Logan Yager was able to assess, identify, and alleviate my lower back pain. (it wasn’t my back that was even the problem!) He also created a plan and followed up with me on exercises I could do at home without overwhelming me with the details. All the physical therapists I interact with while at my visits are friendly, easy going and GREAT listeners! As a runner, physical therapy is nothing new to me and Kaizen is a top notch place to be! (it’s also in a very convenient location if you are coming in from outside the metro area like myself
